Organize the Library

Thank you so much for contributing to our school library! The students have been able to quickly navigate through the baskets to help them find books they are looking for. They are doing a great job of circulating books that would have been overlooked on the shelf. Dewey decimal is a great tool to organize books, however using baskets and generifying our non-fiction we have been able to put books together that give the students better browsing opportunities. For example, all the books about dogs are in one basket, and the books about bears are in a separate basket. The books are forward facing in each basket giving students the ability to look at each book without pulling it off the shelf. The students are thriving checking out non-fiction books!”
