    Thank you so very much for donating the headsets. I never really understood the difference in focus having them made until you donated them and we started using them. We have certain programs that we use to either assess, text, or for reading comprehension practices that have audio. I used to have my students play whatever they were listening to very low as not to distract their peers; that wasn't conducive to their focusing. Now that they use the headsets, they aren't disturbing anyone and they seem to be more focused!”

  • Skill Builders Reading Comprehension

    I'm sincerely grateful for the donation you made of the "Skill Builders Reading Comprehension" workbooks. I asked for enough copies for the three English classes that I teach so that each student can have their own copy to write in. Normally, whatever workbooks we use can't be written in because we only have one class set and each class has to share. It's really not conducive to learning because the process of reading and answering questions is done between books and believe it or not, many students lose focus going from one book to the next, especially if they have to copy the questions from the text into their notebooks. With the books you donated, they were able to write in them. I used them in class, I used them for homework, and I even assigned them work from those books during our winter break. They were perfect!”
