Native American Studies
Funded Jun 25, 2024Thank you so much for your generosity in funding our project to provide Native American books for our classroom library. Your support has made an immediate and meaningful difference in the lives of my students.
The addition of these books has enriched our curriculum and provided students with an opportunity to learn about the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Native American communities. These stories offer authentic perspectives that help my students deepen their understanding of the world and foster respect for diverse voices.
In our classroom, these books are being used in independent reading, and discussions about heritage and identity. Students are already making connections to the characters and themes, sparking thoughtful conversations about resilience, cultural traditions, and the importance of storytelling.
In the unit on Native American history students delve deeper into the culture and create projects that reflect different aspects of their rich culture.
Thank you again for your incredible kindness and support. Because of you, my students are gaining the knowledge and skills they need to thrive as informed and compassionate learners.”

Help Keep the Class Organized
Funded Oct 17, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity in meeting the needs of our classroom. We are extremely grateful for the support received. We are putting the resources to good use. They were key in taking the class to the next level of organization. Firstly we were in dire need of a new clock that was visible to students. This way those that can tell the time can practice using it and then when we come to the unit on time, they can apply their learning by using the large, child friendly clock.
In terms of organization, the portable banker boxes and desktop drawers were key. The banker boxes help me to keep all student work organized. This way I can quickly access their previous work when i have a parent meeting or if i need to asses student progress and learning. This has been a great help.
The reusable dry erase pockets also are key to keeping things organized and also to lessen the environmental footprint of the class community as I can reuse some worksheets rather than making copious copies.
All items have really helped with classroom organization. My scholars and I are very grateful.”

Motivation and Organization
Funded Mar 13, 2023Classroom organization is important and as the year continues teachers find new ways to keep the classroom organized. Your generous donation helped to support me to improve the organization. Items such as the filing tray system were really useful so students know where to put letters from parents or their completed assignments. All the stickers and motivational charts helped to keep students motivated and encouraged them to continue to do their best. The smiles on their faces as they receive the stickers for a job well done, was priceless. Also the Included treats kept scholars motivated as they earn points based on their behavior and effort. Scholars loved receiving rewards, and helped them remain focused to achieve great things.
Thank you again!”

Getting Ready for Black History Month
Funded Feb 16, 2023Our class owes you much gratitude for your generous donation to help enrich their lives. A million thank you's!! Scholars were so excited to read the new books as part of Black History Month. They used these books and articles I already had about notable black people from the past and present as their focus for the month. They then concentrated their research on one notable person and completed a research project and extended response, an opinion piece, about their chosen persson. We used all the classroom decor to present their work in a way they were proud of. As you will see from the photos, they did an excellent job.
Thank you once again for helping to enrich our classroom experience!!”

Funded Nov 29, 2022Thank you so much for your generosity in fulfilling the needs of our classroom. We are extremely grateful for the support received. We are putting the resources to good use . Firstly we used some of the borders to create a bulletin board that was reflective of the task. they had been studying rain forests, so the leafy border helped to elevate the aesthetic. Also we now have a great system for turning in work. Students now know where to submit their writing, math work and parent letters. This saves a lot of morning time. The magnetic board organizers are also a life saver as I do not have to go searching for dry erase markers when using the white board. They are all in one place, as well as other pertinent writing implements. These items have really helped with classroom organization. My scholars and I are very grateful.”

This classroom project was brought to life by an Anonymous Classroom Supporter and 10 other donors.Help Us Create Calm and Comfortable Learning Space !
Funded Nov 13, 2022My class and I would like to thank all our donors for their extreme generosity in supporting our cause. We are really grateful.
Before receiving the rug many students sat on cushions some of which were flattened from over use. Other students would have to sit directly on the floor. Thanks to the suggestion of a parent in class, that we submit a request for a rug via Donor's choose.
When the students first saw the rug, they all cheered excitedly and could not wait to start using it. Not only does the rug we chose add vibrancy to the room but now my students can sit comfortably during morning meetings and instruction. When students are comfortable and feel safe, then they are ready to learn.
In addition to the rug, we received the laminating machine. This machine has allowed me to print and protect anchor charts and sets of answer sheets for math so students can check work themselves and gain some independence.
thank you all again,”
