Making Learning Accessible
Funded Oct 11, 2023Thank you so much for donating to my project. I was given the opportunity to have adaptive books for my students to increase their expressive and receptive language skills. These resources give me the opportunity to work on many expressive and receptive language goals with my Pre-K and early elementary aged students.
These new resources have given my students a new way to improve their language skills. I have seen such an improvement in my students' language abilities due to them having access to more hands-on materials. Not only have we worked on increasing vocabulary but we have worked on answering questions and sequencing events in a story. They find enjoyment in having hands-on visuals to utilize in our sessions and it keeps the students engaged.
When they first saw the materials, they were so eager to learn new vocabulary and match pictures. We utilized these adaptive materials prior to reading books or playing with a themed sensory bin. I am eager to see what else we can learn using these materials and I can't wait to continue to see the positive impact these materials have had on my speech sessions. My students' have made so much progress thanks to your generosity.”

These new resources have given my students a new way to improve their language skills. I have seen such an improvement in my students' language abilities due to them having access to more hands-on materials. Not only have we worked on sequencing events from a story in order, but it also allows me to work on producing cohesive narratives with my older students. They find enjoyment in putting the cards in order and having hands-on visuals to utilize during the shared book readings.
When they first saw the materials, they were so eager to find out what book we were going to read. I have had the opportunity to utilize these materials for the books we have read during the last few months. I am eager to see what else we can learn using these materials and I can't wait to continue to see the positive impact these materials have had on my speech sessions. My students' have made so much progress thanks to your generosity.”

Funded Nov 9, 2022Thank you so much for donating to my project. I was given the opportunity to have sequencing cards (3-scene, 4-scene, and 6-scene) and early language boxes (category sorting, what goes together, comparing sizes). These resources give me the opportunity to work on many expressive and receptive language goals with my Pre-K and early elementary aged students.
These new resources have given my students a new way to improve their language skills. I have seen such an improvement in my students' language abilities due to them having access to more hands-on materials. Not only have we worked on sequencing cards in order, but it also allows me to work on producing cohesive narratives with my older students. They find enjoyment in putting the cards in order and creating their own stories with their own characters, setting, problem, and solution. The early language boxes allow me to work on sorting items into categories, labeling object function, comparing and contrasting items, associations, and utilizing adjectives to describe objects.
When they first saw the materials in my room, they were so eager to see what was inside the boxes and couldn't wait to use them. They request to utilize the materials very often and enjoy having more tactile activities. We continue to use these resources weekly, and every day I find new ways to target my students' goals with them. I am eager to see what else we can learn using these materials and I can't wait to continue to see the positive impact these materials have had on my speech sessions. My students' have made so much progress thanks to your generosity.”
