  • Kit for Success

    Funded Jan 25, 2024

My students have loved the materials they received in Kit for Success! I am involved in campus in a number of ways and everyone from my Geometry students to my Polynesian Club members have benefitted from these resources. The flexible seating options this project provided has been a new class favorite that helps me to manage students who struggle with sitting still in a non-confrontational and proactive way. Everyone from my freshman to my seniors love these options and have begun showing up to class early in efforts to claim the flexible seats first.

The refrigerator has been instrumental in club fundraisers for Polynesian Club. As a team we are focused on bringing cultural pride to the school and we have had a number of fundraisers that required refrigerated goods. Having the fridge on campus has opened up our access for our club to fundraise with cultural drinks such as Vaifala.

Thank you so much for the resources, they have had an immeasurable impact on my classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gibson

  • Kit for Success

    Funded Nov 19, 2023

Thank you so much for the supplies that my students are currently using. With the wobble chairs they have been able to focus and engage with their math material like I have never seen before. With the binders we have created a new organization that enables them to frequently check their notes and past homework, in order to help them learn to the most of their ability. With the calculator rack they are not able to easily access their calculators and classroom materials.

My students have begun to like math more because of these new classroom tools. They come to class excited, eager to get the wobble chair, or to see the rainbow binders. They feel a sense of ownership and responsibility in owning something so nice and it shows in how they carry themselves during class. This purchase has made a lasting impact on their relationship with math, and I cannot thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gibson

  • Classroom Engagement

    Funded Mar 5, 2023

Thank you so much for the materials! Students have been able to engage in more hands-on projects with the new supplies in my classroom. I have also been able to enforce stricter 'notebook hygiene' because I had the supplies to support students organization. We have created a Statistics project where students built their own game, predicted the outcome using expected value, and then compared their hypothetical and experimental probabilities.

Additionally for the upcoming year I had students create posters with the markers where students were able to leave notes for the incoming class! It has really helped the atmosphere of my class. Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gibson
