Teach Me to Talk With Snacks!
Funded Nov 5, 2023Thank you very much for your generous donation of snacks for my classroom. Often times, students come into my classroom and they say that they are hungry. It can be difficult to concentrate with a hungry tummy. Thanks to your generosity, I now have a fully stocked snack drawer that will help in those situations. The students can have a little snack that can help them focus not just in my room, but in their general education classroom as well.
As an incentive for my students to work hard, we have spontaneous "Surprise Candy Days". I have a skittle machine in my room, and when they work hard and do what they are instructed to do, they can earn a penny to get some skittles or another piece of candy. Thank you for all the skittles and candy that will motivate my students to continue to work hard throughout the rest of the year.
Also, I was able to have a little Christmas party with my students! Each student was able to choose what kind of snack they wanted, a treat from my candy bowl and we made hot chocolate. I would not have been able to provide those things for all 80 of my students by myself. They had so much fun and loved being able to choose from a variety of treats.
Thank you for making all of this possible for my students!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Leverett
