  • Inquiry About the Arts!

    Funded Apr 9, 2025

I am beyond grateful that my project got funded within a few hours!! Thank you so much for your kindness, you make the world a better place :)

These brand-new books will teach students so much about artists, painters, and singers, and the bundle will also allow them to have mindful morning meetings.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Romero

  • Supporting Multilingual Learners!

    Funded Dec 11, 2024

The handheld translators have provided great support to the multilingual learners in my classroom, especially those who are also emergent readers and writers. Students have been able to listen to a word and get an immediate translation while reading simultaneously.

This technology has provided opportunities for students to add vocabulary words to their linguistic repertoire. It has also been an important tool to follow academic instruction in the additional language, English or Spanish.

Thank you again for your kindness and generosity!”

  • Outer Space Inquiry Work!

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

Again, thank you so much for your generosity in getting this project funded! Students love to learn about outer space with the new hands-on resources. The planetary projector provides a strong connection with the mentor texts and students were amazed when looking at the projections in the classroom ceiling :)

The bilingual books have helped me to offer literature in both languages of instruction and support the needs of all language learners. Students also love the projector is bilingual.

These resources have made an impact on the inquiry work that we do in class.”

  • Supporting Literacy

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

Thank you again to the PTA for providing additional support for teachers to get what we need in our classrooms. The Amos and Boris books in Spanish served as mentor texts for our unit about the sea. Students practiced writing a summary, making a character analysis, and identifying the story's central message. Because of these books, students were able to continue their learning in the second language of instruction.

The social-emotional books have also provided opportunities for class discussions about important topics.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Romero

  • Social-Emotional Library Enhancement

    Funded Dec 12, 2023

Thank you again for your kindness and generosity!

Students have been able to complete independent work using the clipboards and we can keep them in the same place with the holders. They love how colorful these tools are :)

The social-emotional books have provided many opportunities to discuss emotions and ways to develop empathy for one another and the world. This project has impacted not only the learning environment but our community-building abilities.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

  • Technology in the Classroom: The World of Connected Learning!

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

This project has greatly impacted student learning by providing headphones to use different online school resources. Students can work independently in activities to improve literacy skills and mathematics without distracting sounds. They can listen for instructions and read books independently. The pocket chairs have improved the organization of materials, and keep the laptops handy for easy access.

Thank you so much for your generosity and for making a great change in my class' learning environment :)”

  • Embracing Diversity

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

Thank you once again for your generosity! Reading these multicultural stories has greatly impacted the sense of community and student engagement in my classroom. It is important for me that students feel appreciated, included, and most importantly, celebrated!

We continue to embrace the multiculturalism and the diversity that makes us stronger. Students enjoy listening to stories that represent their cultures, and backgrounds while developing their literacy skills. Some lessons include the appreciation of family traditions and the celebration of our unique identities. Students and I appreciate your kindness.”

  • Library Make-Over

    Funded May 9, 2023

My students and I are so grateful and happy for the makeover! The brand-new bins make book selection more engaging and visually appealing. My third-graders are happy to see that they have brand new materials for our English classroom library. Students often use the library as they pick their books for independent reading and for homework assignments. The self-adhesive labeling pockets have enhanced the library too by providing clear information about the genres of each bin. Everything looks more uniform now and the library makeover has positively impacted students' independence as well.”

  • Read It! Use It! Keep It!

    Funded Feb 7, 2023

Thank you once again for your generosity!

My students are thrilled to have new Post-its to write their notes, reflections, and academic goals to become stronger readers, writers, and mathematicians. The literacy materials are laminated for students to read, use, and keep inside their toolkits.

The laminator has been a great support for our learning environment since it helps me keep signs, word lists, and supporting materials protected. Students love the new tape dispenser and use it each day.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Romero

  • With One Pencil We Can...Create Stories, Narratives, and Share Ideas!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

My wonderful third-graders and I were thrilled when all the boxes arrived in our classroom. Students were wondering what everything was and their eyes widely opened when the materials were displayed around the classroom. They loved the big box with colorful highlighters, the new bins for independent workbooks, the white binders for portfolios, the electric sharpener, and surely, the full box of brand-new pencils. Students are now confident to complete their work because they have all the necessary materials.

Students love their portfolios. These are also great resources for families to perceive students' growth as writers, and citizens of the world.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Romero
