Thank you! Your generous donation of chapter books that will bring immense joy to our 3rd-grade class. These books will foster a love of reading and enrich our students' learning. • A Nurturing Learning Environment

    Funded Oct 18, 2024

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for your generous donations of two beautiful rugs, gleaming new whiteboards, and a treasure trove of classroom supplies! Your kindness has made a real difference in our learning environment and has sparked so much excitement in my students.

Their faces lit up like Christmas trees! When they first saw the rugs, they immediately ran over and felt the soft texture. They were so excited to have a designated space to relax and read. . The new supplies were like a breath of fresh air. The students were so grateful and appreciative, and their enthusiasm was contagious.

Thank you again for your incredible support. Your generosity has truly enriched our classroom and empowered my students to learn and grow.”

    With gratitude,

  • Fun with Math!

    Funded Feb 17, 2024

Thank you so much for the hands on math materials for my 3rd grade classroom. The students were so excited to see the rainbow colored multiplication pop-it charts. Students that are struggling with their multiplication facts often have a hard time participating in math games. This tool enabled all students to play games like multiplication bingo and multiplication shoots and ladders.

Another tool that benefited students were the dry erase number lines. This helped students master rounding whole numbers. Elapsed time is a concept 3rd graders struggle with. The hand held clocks and time number lines provided a visual model for them to grasp the concept.

Along with tools, students loved the multiplication war card games. During indoor recess students chose to play war for fun!

Thank you again for their valuable resources!”

  • Kinesthetic Learning Environment

    Funded Nov 18, 2023

Thank you very much for the supplies that enhance learning in my classroom. This year our school adopted a new reading program (CKLA- Amplify). The reading units include a lot of content students have not been exposed to in previous years. One unit is all about the human body. With the donor's choose funds I was able to purchase models of the human brain, eye and skeletal system. Each group of three students were able to have their own model to explore and write about.

The donor's choose funds also enabled me to create a more inviting learning environment. The two bean bags chairs are in my reading nook. I have a labeled clock so students can independently tell the time. Students now have a whiteboard holder so they can quickly grab a board and come to the floor for small group work. Thank you so much for providing my students these valuable resources.”

  • Physical Activity = Well Rounded Students

    Funded Mar 3, 2023

Thank you so much for the PE equipment for my 3rd grade students! At Kahaluu Elementary School there are many rainy days. In the past, indoor recess consisted of students playing on their computers. Not anymore! They race to set up the bowling kits and ring toss. They make their own teams. The learn how to work together and solve their disagreements in positive ways.

It is so fun watching the students learn to play volleyball and badminton. Badminton is a game they have never heard of before, and they love it! It is so nice having multiple nets instead of just one. I am able to set up the nets, combine both 3rd grade classrooms, then all students can play instead of waiting in lines.

The equipment I received is benefiting many students outside of my own class. I have other teachers borrowing my nets for their own PE classes. The 5th and 6th grade students have a later recess. So everyday they knock on the door and ask to borrow my volleyballs and footballs. Students are learning how to share, be responsible for other peoples property, and have fun!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Zalopany
