  • Statistics Games

    Thank you for donating card stock, calculators, playing cards and dice to my classroom. The calculators have made an immediate impact on my classes. The students have enjoyed graphing histograms, scatter plots, and box and whisker plots.

    The playing cards and dice will come in handy during our probability units in the future. We did do an activity called greedy train with the dice where students decide to be greedy with points or lose their points.

  • Calculators for Kids

    Funded Nov 5, 2022

    Thank you so much for donating to my 'Calculators for Kids' project! My students who do not have calculators have been able to work along-side their classmates and improve their math knowledge. Their confidence is improving, and they are discovering that they can do math.

    We began a big statistics unit today in my classes. We were working on the five number summary, mean, mode, and standard deviation. My students loved inputting the data into the calculator to find the answers, and I am excited to see their reactions when we graph them next week.

    Students who have not interacted much are answering questions and going around the room and helping other students. Having access to the calculators has brought a whole new level of engagement and learning to my classroom. Thank you so much for investing in my students!”
