Envisioning a Bold and Liberatory Arts Space
Funded Feb 7, 2024I am so grateful for your generosity towards our arts program. Your support has already begun to make a tangible difference in our classroom environment, and I am excited to share the impact your donations have had.
With the essential organizational supplies, our art room has undergone a transformation. The space is not only more functional, but also more flowing and creative. Students have embraced the newfound accessibility of supplies, fostering a sense of independence. Many students have commented on the new set up and expressed that it feels more navigable and open to them.
As we move forward, your contributions will continue to play a vital role in our classroom. Your support has also enabled us to explore dynamic art-making materials such as soft sculpture, weaving, indigo dye, and more. These resources will fuel hands-on, engaging projects that emphasize experimentation and collaborative learning.
Once again, thank you for believing in our students and investing in their creativity.”

Building an Expansive Arts Space
Funded Dec 20, 2022Having access to these materials has made so many things possible in my arts classroom. We've been able to explore a wide range of media including illustration, painting, collage, printmaking, sculpture, and more with the help of these funds.
I'm so grateful that you were able to contribute towards building this generative classroom space for myself and my students. By having higher quality materials, students have been able to feel like the art they create is valued and respected, and they've had more possibility for choice and self-direction within each of our units.
I look forward to seeing what students will continue to create with your help moving forward.”

You Are What You Eat: Multimedia Food Sculptures
Funded Oct 30, 2022Thank you so much for your contributions to this classroom project.
For many of my students, this was the first opportunity they've had to work with sculpting clay. Each student created dynamic and personally significant food sculptures that connected them with some aspect of their own identity, culture, and personal joy.
I would not have been able to carry out this project without the Donor's Choose funding. With your support, we were able to create a fun & engaging learning environment, and my students were enabled to dream up and direct exactly how they wanted to carry out their art projects.”
