  • Organize, Don't Agonize!

    Funded May 24, 2024

Words can not describe my gratitude. I am beyond appreciative of your effort and support. I can not wait to organize materials and have a place to put them so that my students are able to have more room to engage with their activities and to learn in a clutter free environment!”

  • Osmo for the Win!

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

First, I want to start off by saying thank you from my students and myself. When it comes to small groups my students need to be engaged with their independent work while I work with a small group on certain skills. This time can be challenging for my lower level students because they need so much support.

That's where Osmo comes in! Osmo is a game based learning platform that allows students to manipulate hands on tiles to build words, practice sounds and manipulate numbers in their math activities. Students are engaged and I can monitor their progress through Osmo. They look forward to the games and I love that their are learning while I teach my small groups! Again, thank you for all that you do.”

  • Let's Apply Those Phonics!

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

First, I want to start off by saying thank you for supporting this project. In my classroom we have library time during our small group routine. The books from this project have been added to this library and the students are thrilled!

This has helped my lower level readers tremendously. In small groups, I work with groups of students on a certain skill and then I use those decodable readers to help practice with the skill. After we have finished that decodable book in small group, I add that book to the library for those students to continue practicing those skills with a book that we have already read. Providing lots of practice for students to develop their fluency! Not only have I seen them excited to read but I have also seen so much growth in their reading skills! It is middle of year testing and the growth in their scores is amazing! They ask if they can bring books home to read to their family. Which is the ultimate goal! Seeing my motivated little students apply the skills we learn and motivate each other to be better readers it a true joy and we couldn't have done it without you. Again, thank you for everything you have done and your support for this project.”

  • A Lesson That Counts!

    Funded Jan 15, 2023

Who knew math could be so fun! Thank you for donating and helping us obtain all of these fun engaging math activities! My students cannot wait for math centers! I have not only noticed a huge difference in their engagement but also a huge boost in their math skills! They are so motivated to learn and master new skills with these alluring activities. Not only does it show during centers, but in math whole group as well! Students are more engaged in the math lessons and more confident. It has been a great way to reinforce certain skills and when I see a student struggling with a certain skill I have a fun engaging activities to reinforce their learning. We thank you again from the bottom of our heart! GO MATH!”

  • Build-a-Word Literacy Center Project

    Funded Oct 30, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation! I don't know if you will ever truly understand the impact these activities have made in my classroom but I will do my best to explain. My students ask me all day if it is time for centers. On the few occasions where we have half days, students are genuinely upset because our centers are in the afternoon and all they want to do is engage in all of the fun and educational activities you have helped us acquire by donating. These centers have reinforced certain skills in my classroom and helped boost students phonics skills and overall reading levels. They were ecstatic when I introduced all of this fun and engaging activities to them so again we want to say thank you from the bottom of our heart for your donation.”

  • Books We Can Read!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

I want to thank each and everyone of you for donating to this project. It has made a world of difference. Not only has it helped boost reading levels but it has cultivated a beautiful and positive learning environment in my classroom. The students were thrilled when I showed them all of the new books that they can actually read. I have students who can't wait until it is our center time so they can get a chance at the library to practice reading. When I first introduced the books into my library I had students coming up every 5 minutes notifying me of the words they can read on their own and the books they had completed. It has really motivated my class to be the best little learners they can be. They have developed the confidence to apply the skills they need rather than picking up a book and feeling discouraged because they cannot decode 90% of the words that they come across. We truly thank you for helping us out with this project!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ekdahl
