Funded Oct 28, 2022Thank you so much for bringing technology into our classroom! It is something that many of my students lack in their home and school lives. By bringing a 3D Printer into our classroom, students became very excited about technology. Many students have never seen one before and thought that it was some sort of microwave. Even after telling them that it was a 3D Printer, they still had so many questions due to the lack of exposure.
We are using our 3D printer to print things in science and social studies. When we first printed something they were amazed that it turned into something firm and plastic. They kept tapping it and was astonished that it came out of the machine. We are excited to use it for units in the future, especially in science where they will have the opportunity to create their own items.
All students have the opportunity to participate in this activity. Many of my students that are struggling learners take a greater interest in this piece of technology. They seem to get more excited and take a greater interest in it.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Sylvester
