  • Sensory Fun

    It is with extreme enthusiasm that I want to share with you how your generous contribution helped to spark the learning of our students. We work in a primarily low income Title 1 elementary school. Our caseload is comprised of students with special needs ranging from autism, to stuttering and a multitude of language disorders that negatively impact their academic functioning in and out of the classroom setting.

    Your donation helped to supply our students with hands on sensory materials that keeps their attention and allows them to make learning fun while gaining the necessary skills needed for communication. We used the kinetic sand and playdough to bring some light and fun to our speech therapy sessions and help to engage our children to maintain focus and attention even when skills were difficult for them.”

    Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for your generous donation! The accessibility to a color printer is essential for the creation of colorful hands on materials for our speech students. Having the ability to create and print materials personalized to our students in color opens up a a new and interesting world for our students who rely on realistic color images to expand their language or in some of our most neediest students cases, give them the ability to use pictures to express their basic wants and needs.
