  • Algebra Tiles and Polynomials

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

    Thank you so much for the donation of Algebra tiles for my classroom. Your donation allowed us to learn about factoring quadratics and completing the square in a fun hands on way. My students were able to see a physical representation of quadatic function and how a quadatic function could be thought of as an area problem. Now when we get stuck or forget how our algebraic proceduers work, we can say remeber the Algebra tiles and how you created rectangles with them. Often times this is enough to get sutdents back on track so that they can use the algebra they have learned to solve problems.

  • Calculators Needed

    Thank you so much for the calculators. I added your donation to the calculators I have bought over the years and I now have enough for all students to have the same type of calculator! This has cut down on students taking out their cellphones in class and has streamlined lessons that involve calculators. I no longer have to teach how 4 or 5 different calculators work, which allows us to spend more time problem solving.

    This has also added to the equity in my room, since everyone is provided with same tool and they are being instructed on how to use it.”
