Champions for Change
Funded Nov 30, 2022This project "Champions of Change" was created to continue to motivate students to be active citizens in their school community. These particular students go above and beyond to make others feel comfortable, safe, and provide a sense of belonging. These students help translate, be a friend, and help others all the time. The students in this program give back to their school community from the kindness of their hearts without expecting anything in return. Now with this project, we can offer them a small token of gratitude and help them to continue to help others.
This project has increased my students' self esteem. They are excited about wearing their T-shirts and appreciate the gifts that were provided from this project. We were able to give students T-shirts, candy, basketballs and jewelry just to name a few. With these small tokens, students are encourage to make a difference not just in school, but in the world.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Nunes
