Classroom Basic Supply Restock
Funded Apr 27, 2024Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! These supplies have been utilized by the students during many fun activities. The students enjoy creating drawings using the crayons, markers, and paper donated. They also use the creativity tape to add to their beautiful creations. The Mr. Sketch markers assist us when we are making our letter web of the week to display for the students. We like to draw pictures that match the letter for example; "H is for House", we draw a house next to the word. This helps the students connect the word and the picture. Thank you so much for your contribution, we are so thankful!”

Funded Apr 4, 2024Thank you so much for donating to our classroom! Our spring time fun materials was without a doubt the most exciting project the students participated in all year. We were able to see the life cycle of a butterfly in person. The students were so excited to get into the classroom every morning to see if the butterflies had grown, and they did, as they grow very fast we learned. We would observe them eating, moving around, and even making little webs. They finally formed into a chrysalis, and then we just waited for them to emerge. When the butterflies finally emerged it was the most exciting day in PreK! The following day we released them as a class, wished them well and said good-bye. It was so amazing to be able to observe the lifecycle of a butterfly, I am sure the student's will never forget it. Thank you”

Funded May 8, 2024Thank you so much for donating to our classroom. The students really enjoyed playing with space themed sensory bins we created for them. Items used in the sensory bins were the palm sized planet balls which led to many fun and imaginative conversations about our planets, their names, and what type of climates they have. The students also really enjoyed building the space puzzles together. During learning time, 3-4 students who really enjoy puzzles would create their team and begin working on it. They really enjoyed all of the new materials!”

Funded Dec 22, 2023Thank you so much for supporting our classroom. The dollhouse, furniture, and dolls have been the most popular spot during our learning time. The students are so happy interacting with the new materials. It is great to see them playing and sharing with their classmates. When engaging with the dolls, I hear them creating names for them, discussing who the mommy, daddy, brother and sister are going to be, and observe them arranging all of the furniture in the dollhouse rooms. We are so grateful to you for providing these wonderful materials for our students. Thank you so much!”

Create and Laminate!
Funded Apr 3, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donations that have made a positive impact on our students and classroom. Students can now preserve their masterpieces for a long time by having them laminated. We have already created beautiful, durable projects for families that will last a long time. Our latest classroom project was a pumpkin cutout where students placed small pieces of orange paper inside the cutout, afterwards we laminated them. The students really enjoyed this activity and love going to see their project displayed on our board. Thank you again for providing these materials for our students!”

Funded Aug 7, 2023Thank you so much for supporting our classroom. These paper materials have already made a huge, positive impact in our classroom. We have been able create anchor charts which provide visuals for the students. Each week, we create a letter anchor chart where the students participate by sharing something they know that begins with the letter of the week. The chart is displayed all week and the students will refer to it during our lessons. We have also created letter and number recognition anchor charts. The students will participate by writing a letter or number on a paper and gluing it in the correct column. We are so thankful we will have plenty of paper for our projects to last us the whole school year!”

PreK Sensory Fun!
Funded Feb 15, 2023When our students first saw the new materials they were so excited and ready to learn! Our students love playing with kinetic sand using the sensory sand ice cream set. They create an ice cream shop and take turns being the ice cream shop owner and customers. We have also used the lace-a-word beads for multiple activities, they have many uses. We play letter match games where the students pick a letter from a bag and have to find the matching letter bead. They have also used the letter beads to lace letters onto strings, which assists with fine motor skills. Another activity we have participated in is using the letter beads to create words, the possibilities are endless! One of the next projects we plan on working on is creating spring artwork to display in our classroom. We plan on using the assorted felt shapes, multipurpose pony beads, and pipe stems to create beautiful and colorful masterpieces.
