Virtual Labs Are a Reality With a Laptop

Thank you so much for your support and time. Out of many options and projects on DonorsChoose, you gave my students the support they needed to access technology. Not many classrooms have access to laptops making it the responsibility of the teacher to find ways to bring technology into the classroom. This was my first project on DonorsChoose and the success of this project shows me there are many kind hearts in this world and to never hesitate to ask for help when needed.

Since the donation, my students have participated in various different virtual labs which allow them to work collaboratively on the chrome-books that we were able to purchase because of your kindness. I have never had the opportunity to do something like this with my kids and I am beyond thankful that I can now. Students have been showing high level of engagement and care for the new chrome-books and enjoy the ability to use it to better understand and see scientific concepts visually. It truly makes science fun and executing to see and learn.

We have also started completing stations within my class. Each station containing a different activity. Now with two Chromebooks two of those stations involve technology and using technology to learn the objective. Thank you for also giving me the confidence to ask for help and know that there are people in this world who will support me and my kids even without knowing us. I look forward to getting more materials in my class to further make students' learning experiences more meaningful and valuable. There are not enough words to describe how happy and grateful I am!”
