Bringing Science to Life in Middle School!

I wanted to reach out to personally thank you all again for supporting our students at St HOPE Leadership Academy in Harlem. When I told my students the news that we would be getting brand new high tech light microscopes, they immediately erupted in cheer! Unfortunately, we have not had access to high quality lab supplies over the years and this would give our students the opportunity in science class to not just learn biology, but to experience it. So far, we have done 6 separate labs using our new microscopes both in 6th and 7th grade. We have viewed daphnia, amoeba, stentors, various insects, as well as plant cells just to name a few and look forward to continuing to explore new specimens. Thanks again for your generous donations - they are most certainly being put to good use and sparking a new love for the subject! I can see a future in science for so many of our students!”
