  • Fun Day

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

The new resources for "Fun day" have been used during mandated counseling sessions and during the students lunch periods. During several of the mandated counseling sessions, I have used the materials to help describe how my student is feeling. When they have difficulty communicating, we have been successful using these activities.

My students were excited when playing the "Hot Potato" game because of the movements and voices.

The next steps will be to support the SEL school activities with the materials to ensure all the students are learning new skills.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wallace

  • Feeling Good and Staying Clean!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

The students and fellow staff members were very excited to use our new resources. One of the first grade classes were doing a lesson titled "Tooth Talk". The lesson was designed to have the students describe what their teeth would say if they ate certain foods.

The students were very excited when they were given the toothbrushes especially since they had a fruity smell. They were excited that they could brush their teeth right away and have another one to take home.

The next steps are to collaborate with other teachers for another health lesson and utilize the additional materials with their students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wallace
