As soon as I got them students were smiling and eager to design their name tags that slip on the top of them. They were all excited to have their own space to put things for reading groups and pick the color they wanted for their chair. Students took time writing and designing their names for their new bag. Students keep reading books from our classroom library, group work and folders to contribute to different literacy centers around the room. This donation hugely contributed to the organization of their materials. Thank you so much for this generous donation for my classroom.”

My students started using the new classroom materials the minute I opened them! From the brand new headphones, to bright and colorful clip boards and expo markers they were excited for the upgrade. In the pictures you can see students working on a math App using the new headphones! Other students were working out problems with expo markers on their mini white boards. What I had was worn down from previous years so they were all very excited to use new materials with life in them. I can't thank you enough for believing in the power of teaching.”
The needs of my students are all different reading levels and it can be difficult to have access to small group sets paired with characters from stories they love! My students were so excited when I laid out our new selection of books and want to tell me which one should be next for their group. Flat Stanley and Fly Guy series were automatic hits! Students are engaged, laugh and want to read more when we open these books.
I cannot thank you enough for believing in the power of teaching, reading and supporting the high costs to have a classroom kids want to be engaged in. During reading groups, students pick the book as a team and we read a chapter together. They then go with a partner to answer questions for comprehension. This is always a harder task for second graders but with topics they love it makes answering these questions less demanding. Thank you again!!”

The books you bought for my Second Grade students helped my groups and student interest in reading! The kids were very excited to be the first ones to use them with characters they all love!
Everyday I see two groups(there are 5 in total) and depending on their reading level we choose a book to read as a group and then talk about it. They are more excited to read since we got these knew books not knowing which one I'll pick off the shelf! I'm able to offer more variety and not scrape together books from other teachers or books around the school. Thank you so much for igniting excitement within Second Grade!”
