  • Write On! Enhancing Learning with Whiteboard Essentials

    Funded Sep 12, 2024

The individual whiteboards have been a game-changer in our classroom! Each student now has their own board, which we use for interactive activities like practicing vocabulary, solving math problems, and sharing answers in pairs. When the students first saw the boards, they were overjoyed, exclaiming, "This is so cool!" and immediately started writing their names and doodling. These whiteboards make lessons more hands-on and engaging, allowing every student to participate actively while helping me provide quick feedback and support. Next, we'll use them in a math lesson on addition and subtraction, fostering both independent problem-solving and collaboration through a think-pair-share strategy.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Newnam

  • Flexible Seating

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

As a teacher, incorporating wobble stools into my classroom has been a game-changer. Initially, when my students first saw the stools, they were intrigued and excited. Their reactions ranged from curiosity to enthusiasm, and they immediately wanted to try them out.

One specific project where we utilized the wobble stools was during a collaborative brainstorming session. The stools allowed students to move freely while sharing ideas, fostering a more dynamic and inclusive environment. It was wonderful to see how the flexibility of the stools enhanced creativity and engagement among the students.

Looking ahead, our next steps involve delving deeper into our current science project on ecosystems. With the support of the wobble stools, students will continue to explore and research different ecosystems, conduct experiments, and collaborate on presentations to showcase their findings. The stools will undoubtedly continue to play a vital role in facilitating active learning and student participation.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Newnam
