    Thank you so much for the donations towards a horseshoe table. This was gifted to our ESOL department chair, Mrs. Flynn, who has been teaching her K-2 ESOL students in small groups. This quality instruction permits her ease of access to all her present students during their pull-out instructional time. Students enjoy a clear line of sight to her instruction and can readily interact with her when needed. Instant feedback is key to ESOL students' instruction and this horseshoe table grants that ready access to permit such vital feedback.

  • Extra Yard ESOL Grant Wish List

    The students of Mt Rainier Elementary have benefitted from the resources received in small group instruction around the tables ordered. Our ESOL students have been able to receive instruction from their ESOL teacher while in the general education classroom. The students loved having a comfortable place to learn & grow with their teachers.

    The students loved getting to use the white boards for short responses and to utilize the other classroom materials. As writing is such an ongoing struggle for our immigrant children, any and every opportunity to provide brief written responses helps increase their competence and confidence.

    The teachers who received some of the classroom resources requested have been using these to prepare instructional materials for the classroom. We are all appreciative of the support provided our students through the generosity of others.”
