• Empowering Learning: a New Laptop for Our Classroom Adventures

  Thank you so much for the generous donation to my classroom. Since your donation, my students and I have been able to create effective lessons that are both rigorous and engaging at the high school level. In addition, my students use the laptop in order to complete assignments as well as persent projects to the class so that I can look at the details and make refinements if necessary.

  The laptop is exciting for the students because it truly puts the learning in their hands. For example, I am now able to assign a student each period I teach to come up and take the class attendance for the period, therefore not having to make interupptions in my teaching during the period. In addition, the laptop has been beneficial for my ELL students, specificlaly Spanish and Chinesse as they are able to translate the language into their home language.

  One student has particually has been especially warmed to this new technology as she is not able to have a device at home. Because of this, she is able to complete not only my class assignments, but other teachers as well. I can not thank you enough for this generous donation!”

• Extra Extra- Printing in Our Class!

  Words can not thank enough for how much this generous donation has done for the success of my students, both academically and socio-emotionally. The paper that was donated has had an amazing imapct on combining both mathematics and socio-emotional learning, which has been a major push in out district since the COVID-19 pandemic.

  Using the paper has allowed me to print out resources that help a students understanding of tricky mathematical concepts as well as resources that helps them with regulating their emotions such as coloring.

• SEL and a Calming Corner are Ins"pi"iring the Next Math Students

  Words cannot describe how your donation to this project helped my students and the community where I teach. My students and I are using this new resource by making a corner for them to relax and destress from their day of school. My students are in love with the calming corner and what the purpose of it was. the flexible seating with the bean bag chairs helps create an environment where kids are more calm and are able to perform better as far as mathematical percision and consistency.

  When the students saw the calming corner for the first time, there eyes lit up with juvilation and excitment. The reason for these two emotions was that, for the last two years, my students have been asking for a calming corner and flexible seating. When the project was finally brought to life, there faces made me realize why I wanted to be an educator, to give my students a voice and for their ideas to become reality.

  For the next couple of weeks, we will be working on preparing for the next grades as well as incorporating more SEL topics with math. I truly cannnot thank you enough for this oppurtunity!!”

• Ins"pi"ring the Next Generation of Mathematics Students!

  Words can not describe how much your donation helped my classroom. My students are entirely grateful for your donation and what it has done for our classroom. The headphones are helping my students achieve academic success in the mathematics classroom by giving them a space to help them watch engaging videos as well as helping them concentrate. The headphones are being used on a regular day basis as well for students who are behind in the curicculum. The students grab the headphones and then go onto our online platform to complete their assignments.

  In addition to the headphones, the computer paper has been a tremendous help for my students as they are able to complete exams, performance task and classwork assignments for the class. Students who can not learn through a digital platform use paper to learn mathematics visually, which is important after the pandemic. The tissues that were donated has assisted in keeping the health and safety of the students in my classroom at the priority. Finally, the pens have given my students an oppurtunity to copy notes as well as understand the concepts they are learning in class.
