Resources for My Students
Funded Mar 25, 2025I greatly appreciate your donations to my classroom and students. I went into the field of teaching because I grew up in a low-income community and want to give back to community with your donations my students projects, as well as their mental health will be supported. As a four-year teacher, I am still working on developing my classroom into a positive learning environment and your contributions have greatly contributed to reaching that goal.”

Funded Aug 13, 2024Thank you so much for all of your contributions and support for this project. As a four-year teacher, I am still working on developing my classroom into a positive learning environment and your contributions have greatly contributed to reaching that goal. Your contributions have helped my classroom come to life as now I have a designated space for students to calm and decompress. The standing desk is very helpful for student group work and has been greatly appreciated by my students as they have an alternate area to complete their assignments.
When my students first saw the different materials they were very excited. Many of them even stated that our classroom looks better and more welcoming. In my classroom, I have high expectations for my students and having an environment that in which they can thrive will set them up for success. For many of my high school students mental health can be concerning as students are under a lot of pressure, and stress however, having an area for them makes them feel comfortable and appreciative.
The next steps for my project will be to add more books or arts and crafts for students to complete when they have down time or need to work on their social emotional learning. I would like to get books to help students understand the importance of mental health and self help guides for stress, mental health and having a healthy lifestyle.”

Ms. Martinez
