Funded Dec 3, 2024Thanks to your generous support, our classroom has become a more organized and inspiring space where students can focus on learning and growing. The materials you helped provide—pencils, a pencil dispenser, an 8th grade math resource book, storage bins for small groups, and post-its—have had an immediate and meaningful impact.
We've integrated the resources into our daily routine. The storage bins keep our small group materials neatly organized, making it easier for students to transition into focused, skill-based learning. The math resource book is a valuable tool we've used during guided instruction to tackle challenging concepts, especially when preparing for assessments or diving deeper into real-world math applications.
A moment that stood out was during a small group activity on linear equations. Students used the math resource book to break down examples and then used post-its to write and share different problem-solving strategies on our classroom math wall. The collaboration and confidence they displayed were incredible!
When the students first saw the materials, their faces lit up—especially when they noticed the pencil dispenser! It might seem small, but something as simple as knowing they always have a pencil when they need one has helped them stay prepared and focused. They feel empowered and supported, and that feeling is priceless.
Right now, students are working on a project involving scientific notation and scale. They're exploring how extremely large or small quantities are used in science and math. These resources continue to support their journey as they build critical thinking skills and apply what they've learned in meaningful ways.
Thank you again for investing in our classroom and our students' futures. Your kindness and generosity have made a lasting difference.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Wadley
