Holiday Cheer
Funded Oct 9, 2023Thank you for the donation to bring holiday cheer to the families of Cranberry Elementary. Your donation had a huge impact on supporting our struggling families during the holiday season. We had over 85 families request assistance in supplying gifts for their children. Once gifts arrived they were organized and wrapped for students who had put these items on their wish list.
Our teachers are the ones who supplement and support our wish list tree due to the needs of our families. So this donation not only helped our families but also the pockets of our teachers. It truly takes a village during the holiday season and your donation helped ours!
The smiles of our families when they picked up their gifts mean the world to us!
Thank you! Thank you!”

Funded Oct 18, 2022It is with great gratitude that I write this thank you letter. The amount of students that have had the benefit of the fluency games crosses multiple grades. I started out by creating fluency tubs filled with card games and dice. These were given to a first year teacher to use during her math stations. The ability for her to provide quality materials without her having to purchase on her own has impacted her as well as her students. Fractions is a large standard in third and fourth grade. These teachers have checked out both the fraction station cards and the fraction book with dice games. The students have reacted both in class and out. In class, when I dropped off the materials the second graders were so excited to do fluency practice in a new way (not using flash cards). When they see me in the hallway they are still saying how much fun they are having. Our fourth graders are enjoying time playing with partners. We are now in a time (3 years later) where they can partner up without socially distancing themselves. These materials are not only supporting our math skills but social skills as well. My next steps is promoting and creating kits for upcoming state testing practice. My hope is that this will provide the reinforcement for skills but also time for teachers to pull and work with specific students. This grant has given our students so much.”
