  • Snacks in 3rd

    Thank you so much for helping me get snacks in the hands of my students. Families are still working on rebuilding their homes and replacing many of the daily things we sometimes take for granted. Families now have one less thing to worry about having to prep and find spare change for so that their students can keep a full tummy and stay focused during their learning day.

    This also helps me as their teacher, as I was providing snacks for these students out of my own families money to ensure they didn't feel left out.”

  • "Magical Carpet Time"

    The students LOVE the carpet you helped purchase for them and their learning environment. Students instantly wanted to rub it and feel how soft and cozy it was. The students have been very careful to care for the rug and ensure it is treated with love and respect.

    We have had many whole group lessons on the rug as well as many partner activities and games. Students also enjoying laying on the rug during read to self as it allows them to fully relax and get comfortable while they get lost in their self selected texts.”

  • Science of Reading

    Students have been working on different phonics skills due to entering 3rd grade at their various levels. The resources purchased has allowed me to explicitly and systematically meet the individual needs of these students.

    Other students have been able to utilize the hands on manipulative items to practice comprehension skills and to master decoding and encoding skills in their work. Students have been enjoying this independent thinking and practice time while working with their peers.

  • Reading to Learn

    Thank you so much for helping me jump start the school year with some hands in materials for my students to strengthen their reading skills. Students have been enjoying discussions and activities to help them comprehend their grade level materials in more meaningful ways. The materials have helped hook the more reluctant students by giving them a tactile experience to engage in the learning process and to attempt skills that challenge them.   • Hands-On In Kinder

    Thank you so much for the classroom items donated for my students. Receiving these items has made planning and implementing rigorous and engaging literacy lessons more feasible. Students enjoy being able to manipulate the pieces to practice their literacy skills and it has helped improve their reading abilities already! Students are also able to now being home stories they have worked on home to share their reading skills with loved ones at home which has helped bring awareness to families and helped build confidence in my readers!”

  • Snacks for Kindergarteners Post Ian

    Thank you so much for the thoughtful donations for my students. This really made transitioning back into school easier for families after the hurricane and gave them one less thing to worry about. Students have been enjoying doing math with the snacks and look forward to the time daily! We have a very early lunch as well so having snacks is very important to the students to help keep them focused, comfortable and engaged. We hope you have a great new year filled with much joy.
