Funded Dec 16, 2022We would like to send a sincere Mahalo to you for your support in our quest to learn new skills. We would like to express our gratitude for your unselfish contributions to my students. My students were able to become Entrepreneurs. They learned about creating a business plan, profit, loss, branding, and so much more. They had special guests from a small Hawaiian business to some financial business banking executives.
The students were able to make a logo and choose a name for their business. The items purchased were used to make beautiful earrings, cups, shirts, tote bags and more. Seeing my students struggle and persevere was amazing to watch. The students were able to reach their goals through your giving. Their creativity surpassed everything that I had in my mind. The students also designed marketing ads and posters for their company in Canva.
Our Makeke (store event) is on May 12, 2023 and it will be exciting and filled with so much joy. Please enjoy some pictures of the students' merchandise. It was a great experience overall. Although some of my students struggled with naming their business or with their business plan, they all reached their quota of making a minimum of 15 items. Some did the minimum, some went over and beyond. We are forever grateful for your generosity but more importantly your heart to give.
