Funded Nov 13, 2024Thank you so much for supporting my classroom with some essentials needed to start the year! All of the supplies, but in particular the headphones, were urgently needed and helped us students access online learning and beginning of year assessments. The snacks helped me give students who did not have a snack a snack option to help them stay energized and engaged for their school day. Thank you for your generosity in supporting my project and giving my students some of the supplies they needed. I so appreciate your help!”

Funded Sep 17, 2024Wow has this rug made a huge difference in our classroom! Students were so excited when they saw it in the room. Even chanting at one point, "new rug, new rug". They have told me how comfortable it is and that it's large enough so that all of them have enough room to spread out from each other. This has seemed to lead to better focus from students during learning, and better flexibility with movement options at the carpet when needed. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity with supporting this project for my students!”

Funded Apr 17, 2024Thank you so much for your generosity in supporting my project. One of my goals is to continue to build a classroom library with my students in mind and include diverse stories and characters that represent topics that they are interested in. Your support went towards books discussing pollinators, landforms, habitats and other science related topics that my students are excited to learn more about. We did a project involving the book "Cougar Crossing: How Hollywood's Celebrity Cougar Helped Build a Bridge for City Wildlife" before the end of the year, and students were so engaged and excited to learn about the ways P-22's story contributed towards positive change in the Los Angeles community.”

2nd Grade Flexible Seating
Funded Jan 30, 2024Thank you so much for your generosity in helping bring these wobble students to my classroom. They have really helped my students who need more movement in the classroom to be able to comfortably move while at their desks. One of them uses it by choice while we are even at the carpet learning and it has been a great option for them. They have helped some of my students be able to focus better and stay alert during learning with these as an option for them. My hope was to create more flexible seating options in my classroom for my students with movement needs and I so appreciate you helping me reach this goal.”

2nd Grade Class Library
Funded Jan 17, 2024My students were so excited to dig into their new books this week. They were in the classroom when they were delivered and we unboxed them together. They were so excited that they actually cheered! They were particularly excited about Dog Man and Diary of a Wimpy Kid, but each of those book series were for several groups of student who expressed excitement towards them. Incorporating new books into my classroom library that my students have expressed excitement about and interested in is a big goal of mine. Thank you so much for helping me achieve this for my students.”

2nd Grade Flexible Seating
Funded Jan 1, 2024Thank you so much for your contribution to my project. As a teacher I always want to create an environment that is inclusive and supportive. One that gives students what they need to be able to learn. Flexible seating is something that is so important for students with a diversity of needs. This beanbag chair has made a big impact on my classroom and has made it so that my students with flexible seating needs can comfortably join us for learning at the carpet. My students and I so appreciate your generosity and for contributing to our classroom seating!”

2nd Grade Class Library
Funded Nov 30, 2023My students were SO excited to receive their new books for our classroom library. They were delivered to our classroom door during our Literacy instruction and we went through them and put them into the library together. They are deeply engaged in their new texts. I have a diversity of needs, levels, and backgrounds in my classroom. Making sure they have engaging books is so important to helping them become excited about reading. I'm excited to watch the impact of these new books on their learning.
Thank you so much for your generosity!”
