  • Listening to Learn

    Funded Jan 10, 2024

Thank you so much for helping bring these headphones to our classrooms. As our students use their laptops in most of their classes, having headphones is an essential part of their learning when their work is independent. Throughout the first few months of schools, many students headphones were breaking down or malfunctioning, which made it difficult for some to focus and others to finish their classwork. It was so exciting to let students know that they would be able to replace broken or lost headphones. They were so excited to use these new headphones during class today. We are so grateful to have the support of donors like you, who are always looking for ways to help make our classrooms great!”

  • Snack, Please!

    Funded Jan 8, 2024

Thank you so much for bringing these amazing snacks into our classroom for our students. Our students were ecstatic when the boxes of chips, cookies, and sweets came upstairs. Our students love to have a treat: as a reward after a challenging task, as a pick me up when they are feeling down, or just to supplement the school lunch they get. This year our students don't have lunch until 12:55pm. This means they are sometimes going from 8:30am until 12:55pm without any food. It is such a joy to be able to bring them a snack to make their day a little brighter. This has been a very challenging school year and being able to share a little sweetness (or saltiness, depending on the snack) with students has made it a little bit lighter. Thank you for making that possible!”

  • LEGOs Today, Engineers Tomorrow!

    Funded Nov 15, 2023

We used the LEGOs that were donated for a Fun & Games Afternoon and the students who participated had THE MOST fun building their LEGOs! It was endearing watching my students' eyes light up at the brand new boxes of LEGOs, which they immediately all tore into. Many of my students decided to buddy up with a friend or two to work on a LEGO kit together and they collaborated in building and bonding together. Some students built sea creatures and dinosaurs, while others built race cars and rocket ships. Thank you again for your generous donation, which made this experience possible!”

  • Tissues, and Towels, and Wipes, Oh My!

    Funded Dec 28, 2023

Thank you for your generosity in helping stock our classroom with necessary supplies. As we're in the second half of the year, we've found our supply shelves' stock desperately low and in need of classroom basics such as tissues, paper towels, and stationery. The tissues, paper towels, and cleaning supplies have been invaluable in helping us keep our desks clean and our classroom germ free—especially as we battle cold, flu, and allergy season. The post-it notes have helped us expand and record our thinking in creative ways in class. Thank you again for helping to bring these supplies into our classroom!”

  • Help Us Cool Down!

    Funded Sep 10, 2023

Every classroom has an "essentials" corner and that corner in our room would most definitely be our hydration station--which houses our trusty Brita Tank (courtesy of all you lovely donors), water cups, tissues, and hand sanitizer. Everyday, especially after lunch, the hydration station provides students the space to rehydrate by filling up their water bottles or grabbing a quick water cup, without losing valuable learning time or needing to leave the classroom. Teachers are also much less worried about students losing invaluable moments of learning and can continue on teaching without students interrupting to leave the classroom. The hydration station has truly become an essential component of our classroom learning environment, and none of that would've been possible without your generosity and kindness!”

  • Getting the Ideas Flowing

    Funded Oct 14, 2023

Who knew things as seemingly small as staplers and post-its could be so life-changing for a teacher? I am so grateful for your kindness and generosity. We used the post-it notes for a gallery walk project and they allowed my students to have such rich and engaging discussions with each other and each other's work entirely through writing. No task is impossible for this champion of a stapler, which truly saves my life at least 3 times a day and puts all previous staplers to shame. And our book displays have helped liven up our shelves and allowed students (and adults) to share their bookish love by putting their faves on display!”

  • Readers Today, Leaders Tomorrow

    Funded Oct 12, 2023

Since these new books arrived, my students have already checked most of them out to read for their independent reading books. Many students have expressed their gratitude for the wide variety of graphic novels, genres, and stories that they now get to choose from. When students get to pick what they read, not only are they so much more engaged in their reading--and want to read--but they are also developing invaluable literacy skills without realizing it as "work"! Books and stories are the gifts that will keep on giving, and I am beyond excited for the ways that these stories will change our young leaders!”

  • Nothing Like a Snack Break!

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

Seeing my students' looks of pure joy as box after box of their favorite sweets, treats, and other snacks were brought upstairs will always be one of the highlights of my job. Our students love to have a treat: as a reward after a challenging task, as a pick me up when they are feeling down, or just to supplement the school lunch they get. This year our students don't have lunch until 12:55pm. This means they are sometimes going from 8:30am until 12:55pm without any food. • Gearing Up for the Year

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

We are so grateful for your kindness and support! The supplies arrived right when we needed them. Our classroom is now well-stocked and re-energized for inquiry, learning, and creation thanks to your donation.

Having pre-sharpened pencils available at all times has not only allowed our students to focus on their learning, but has also reduced the number of interruptions needed for re-sharpening pencils during class time. Moreover, the utility cart has been an absolute organizational lifesaver, helping us keep all of our supplies tidy and in one reliable space.

Lastly, the tissues, paper towels, and cleaning supplies have been invaluable in helping us keep our desks clean and our classroom germ free—especially as we battle cold, flu, and allergy season. Thank you again for your support in equipping us with classroom essentials!”

  • Costumes for Moana Jr.

    Funded Mar 12, 2023

This was our school's FIRST school-wide performance since covid/2020 and what an incredible success it was! At every show, we had a packed audience of students, teachers, family, and members from the community. Our talented students performed so proudly and confidently, and they all looked amazing during their performances, even if for some of them it was their first time being on stage. Thank you for making the costumes for this show possible with your donation--we were able to make special head addresses, unique accessories, and super cool props with the items that we received.”

    With gratitude,
