Snacks for Good Behavior and Participation
Funded Mar 24, 2025Thank you for your contributions to my classroom! I am so grateful to be able to provide treats to well behaved students and students who are in need of a quick snack due to limited resources at home or lateness. I appreciate any and all donations to help me maintain a comfortable space for all students.”

Funded Feb 23, 2025Thank you for donating to my classroom. Students will have access to fidgets and other toys when they are engaged in class and earning points through class dojo. The prize bin motivates students to redirect their focus, volunteer in class discussions, and submit assignments on time. Aside from this, students who benefit from sensory toys and fidgets will also benefit by having access to these focus toys during class time on a need basis. Thank you for your contributions to my classroom!”

Classroom Hygiene & Success Essentials
Funded Dec 30, 2024Thank you for your donations to keeping my students clean and comfortable for school. I was able to provide new socks, body wipes, and feminine products to students over the past month and I cannot begin to explain how helpful and impactful it is for a students pride and comfort to be able to have access to these things. Thank you for your contribution to my classroom and to the MS50 community. We are so blessed to have members in and outside of the city contribute to our classrooms. DOE access to supplies are limited to writing utensils, books, and paper, but we know kids need a lot more to be successful.”

Warmth for Winter
Funded Dec 18, 2024Thank you for donating hats, gloves, and scarves to my classroom. To respect the privacy of my students in need I attached photos of the items received and a photo that does not reveal my students face using these items.
New York winters are cold, and it is because of you that some of our kids can stay warm this season! I arranged for students to have multiple pickup locations for these items in my classroom or in the main office so that it could remain anonymous if they so desired. I have a few students in my classroom who are migrant students from Latin America and the Middle East who have never seen snow! What a joy to be able to appreciate its beauty and play outside without having to worry about getting sick!
Thank you for what you've done for my kids!”

Prize Box for Participation!
Funded Sep 3, 2024Thank you for supporting my classroom with your donations! I am so grateful to be able to provide snacks to support my students during the long school hours. In class we have a system of point monitoring for participation, good deeds, and cleanup. As students accumulate points they can cash them in for snacks. Other students can also approach me on the side to ask for snacks to satiate their hunger.
Thank you for supporting my students and ensuring they are able to perform their best in school without the added worries or stresses of being hungry during the school day!”

Funded Mar 8, 2024Thank you for your generous donations to my classroom.
Because of you I am able to provide healthy snacks to my students on a need basis. As a teacher who works with over 250 students in 3 grades it is difficult to provide snacks or additional "care"materials for my room because these aren't items that a regular school budget covers.
Being able to provide students with snacks for a job well done and good clean up is a huge help in classroom management. Additionally, it has a large impact on students who come in hungry to be able to satiate their hunger and refocus during class time.
There are also several students who eat most or all of their meals from the DOE's cafeteria.Everyone deserves a little extra food and snack variety. Today on April 2nd, a student came up to me from a different class and asked me for a snack because he was hungry and overheard that I offered them. Your donations are helping even more students than those on my roster. Thank you”

There are also several students who eat most or all of their meals from the DOE's cafeteria. Having access to more pricey snacks like pineapple smoothies ( part of my donation package) allows them to try different foods that are rich in vitamins or proteins that the DOE doesn't fund in our cafeterias. Today on April 2nd, a student came up to me from a different class and asked me for a snack because he was hungry and overheard that I offered snacks. Your donations are helping even more students than those on my roster. Thank you”

Clean Classroom & Clean bodies!
Funded Jan 17, 2024Thank you for your contributions to my classroom. We have been able to use these supplies to clean down our shared laptops, wipe down tables after paint days, and offer cleaning wipes to students in need so that they can feel confident when walking into class. I am so thankful that I can have some of these resources to make my classroom feel like a clean and comfortable space in every sense of the word.
Today on Jan 23rd I was able to discreetly hand some body wipes to a student who has issues with accessing proper hygiene and I was so grateful to be able to look after my student without having the burden of these expenses! Thank you endlessly!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Walzer
