Student Engagement And Creativity Through Technology
Funded Dec 16, 2015Thank you so very much for making a donation to my project. The students have loved every minute of having an iPad in the classroom. It has been a great addition to our classroom routine.
It has given the students an opportunity to practice skills that we have learned in class in a fun and exciting way. The students have enjoyed playing games like Istation, Kahoot, and Plickers. These games give the students the necessary practice in a game format. The students have also had the opportunity to watch videos that go with different articles they read during stations. This better enhances their understanding of the article. There are also several creation apps the students love to use to create items to display their learning. ChatterPix for Kids is one of their favorites.
My students are driven by their love for technology. The novelty never wears off. When you combine this with learning opportunities it a win-win situation for the teacher and the students. My students and I are forever grateful for your donations.”

Math Mania!
Funded Dec 9, 2013You are truly making an impact in education. I cannot find the words show you my full excitement for this grant being funded.
This project was for numerous math games. I was beyond overjoyed to open the boxes. Each time I introduced a new game to my students, the excitement level was over the top. To this day, they continue to be excited about each and every item we received.
The games bring an added level of fun to my math small group lessons. My students ask me every day, "Which game are we going to play today?" The games cover a wide variety of skills in a way that makes my lessons more engaging. I think Plinko is the favorite game amongst the older students. My younger students absolutely love the numbers fishing game.
I have been able to differentiate lessons for each group. The board games each cover a wide array of skills, which allows me to review skills that have been taught in the classroom in a fun way. None of this would have been possible without your generosity. Again, thank you for supporting this project.”

Technology for Intervention Part 1
Funded Oct 21, 2013Words cannot fully express my gratitude for your donations to my project. You are truly making an impact in education.
This project was for 3 HP Slate 7 tablets. This grant added 3 additional tablets to insure that my students would no longer have to share or take turns with the tablets. The day I introduced the new tablets to my students was most definitely exciting. Each group was thrilled about the additional tablets. They were all excited to have their very own tablet to work on.
We have used the tablets to reinforce Math and Reading skills. They bring an added level of excitement to many lessons. My students ask everyday if they will get to use the tablets that day. We are using many different apps to practice skills. My students even love the whiteboard app. Many of my students have been encouraged to practice their sight words and math facts at home in order to be better at some of the games on the tablets.
I have been able to differentiate lessons for my students. Everyone can work on the same skill at their own level and pace without playing the same game. None of this would have been possible without your generosity. Again, thank you for supporting this project.”

Technology for Intervention Part 2
Funded Sep 11, 2013Words cannot fully express my gratitude for your donations to my project. You are truly making an impact in education.
This project was for 3 HP Slate 7 tablets. The day they arrived at my campus was an exciting day for me. I was overjoyed to open the box, set them up, and charge them. The day I introduced the tablets to my students was most definitely electrifying. Silence filled the air as I explained the rules and how to use the tablets. Everyone wanted to be first to use these new learning tools.
Over winter break, I will be making several QR Code activities that we can use with the tablets. I know my students will be thrilled to use the tablets in a new way! None of this would have been possible without your generosity. Again, thank you for supporting this project.”
