  • Printable Reading Books

    Funded Aug 24, 2023

    I would like to thank you for donating to our classroom project. We are using the paper weekly to print each student their own personal decodable readers. The students are reading the stories in class during small groups, as well as at home with their families.

    They have been so excited to receive these printable books that they can practice reading and keep at home. Each student has been given the resources they need to start their own personal beginners library thanks to your generous donation.”

  • It's Too Bright in Here!

    Words can not begin to express how thankful my students and I are for your contribution to our project. The fluorescent light filters have brought a calming effect to our learning environment. They have also helped to reduce the glare on materials that are displayed around our classroom making it easier for the students to utilize the learning materials. My students are especially enjoying the filters with Pete the Cat on them.

  • Digital Makes a Difference

    Thank you for donating to "Digital Makes a Difference" for my classroom. Students today have become accustomed to the frequent use of technology at their fingertips. The majority of them show a huge interest in information when it is shown through digital resources.

    In our school, the kindergarten students are each assigned a tablet that they can utilize to help them on their educational journey during the school year. The students are able to work on areas that they need the most practice with through the use of digital resources. The activities can be assigned based on their individual needs.

    PowerPoint presentations that are aligned with our reading series have also been beneficial for students who are more visual learners. These PowerPoints allow the students to both see and hear about each aspect of the lesson. They are drawn to the vibrant colors on the screen as they see and listen to what is being taught.”

  • Printed Books for All

    I would like to thank you for donating to my "Printed Books for All" project. With the donated copy paper, I have been able to provide my students with their own personal copies of books that go along with our reading series. They are able to read stories during class and then take their copies home to read to their families. This means so much to me because some of my students would not have reading material on their level at home otherwise.

    The students look forward to getting their new books each week. They are excited to take them home to read. I am hoping that the students having these books to read will help them grow to have a love for reading.

    Parents are also showing an interest in their child's reading material. They have shared with me that the children are reading their books at home to them and other family members. I have had some message me wanting to know when their child will be bringing a new book home to read.”
