  • Horror Holders

    Funded Feb 4, 2025

We are off to a great start this semester in our Gothic literature course. All students were able to have a binder of materials that they were able to decorate with stickers. They have a shelf in the classroom and obtain their binders daily. Each binder contains short stories and poems along with project details for assignments. There is a hard copy PDF on their digital device devices in case of school closure. It was a great help to receive the materials that we needed to make this course enjoyable and with easy access. The generosity of donors is always appreciated. Thank you so much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. White

  • Flex Seating

    Funded May 8, 2024

Flex seating is a new trend in today's classrooms. Traditional student desks are no more. Because of this project, our classroom now houses couches, camping chairs and bean bags. Comfortable learning is deeper learning.

It is definitely something new for the students to experience but they are up to the challenge of making it work.

The Wing 2 Wing Foundation was instrumental in flash funding our state during Teacher Appreciation Week 2024 and we could not be more grateful. We are reading to utilize our new resources to the max!”

  • Light Bright Learning

    Funded May 8, 2024

Our new flex seating comfort classroom is even more visually appealing by way of our new lamps and tapestries. Students work better without overhead lights beating down. Our room smells comforting from the oils in our mist sprayer.

Being able to use an updated laptop in stations makes it a more efficient learning style. Carrying around Chromebooks makes the station activities more complicated.

We can't wait to decorate the walls outside of our classroom with the nature decals. All of these things were made possible with the large funding wave by the Wing 2 Wing Foundation during Teacher Appreciation Week 2024. We are so excited for this school year!”

  • Best Seats in the House

    Funded May 8, 2024

We are thankful for the new resources to create a flex seating classroom. The traditional desk seating has taken a backset to couches, camping chairs and bean bag chairs. We are using lamp lighting rather than the overhead light to soften the atmosphere.

My students did not know how to proceed into the room when the saw the comfort zone created with these materials. We hope that with comfort will come easy learning and a heightened sense of camaraderie when working in small groups.

This project is a dream come true. Thank you for your help! Special shout out to the Wing 2 Wing Foundation for making Teacher Appreciation week 2024 the best one yet!”

  • The Write Stuff

    Funded Jan 3, 2024

I am glad to have the opportunity to formally thank you for your donations that brought about the fruition of this project. My students were excited to return from winter break to some new supplies.

While pens do not seem like much, they sure were fighting over who got which colors. Our school enables us to to supply paper and notebooks and other such materials. But high end writing utensils are certainly a treat!

Donors Choose has been and continues to be a blessing to our classroom. Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

  • Seal the Deal

    Funded Sep 22, 2023

Thank you for your contribution toward the fruition of this project. We got our laminator and multiple packs of laminating sheets. We were excited when the package arrived.

The students in our club, Paws for a Cause, have been busy laminating letters and shapes along with submitted pictures of student and staff pets. They are excited to decorate the bulletin board in the hallway to advertise the things accomplished by the group.

Having a small laminator right in our room keeps everyone accounted for and makes group tasks easy. Thank you for making that happen!”

    With gratitude,

  • Downgraded: From Pandemic to the Common Cold

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you for supporting our project and helping to keep us all in good attendance. While Covid has been mitigated at this time, Influenza is rampant. We are glad to have a staunch supply of tissues and cleaning supplies. We try to wipe down the desks with the Lysol wipes at the end of each day. We keep the floor clean, too, so that our breakfast crumbs don't attract any visitors. So far, 2023 has shown good health and good attendance, so we hope to maintain that record and stay healthy into spring. Your support was a crucial element in helping us move toward that goal. Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

  • Aesthetic Atmosphere

    Funded Mar 19, 2022

We are grateful for our new resources. We use them to liven up our room with inspirational quotes and colorful posters.

When they first saw the materials, the students were surprised that we got so much. They think it is neat that sometimes people who do not know us buy us things for our classroom.

We like variety and changing up our surroundings so our next step is to acquire other items in order to be able to switch things out from time to time.

Donors are a blessing - we are so grateful for these new items.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. White

My students are 10th grade language arts and literature learners who try their best each day. They work on writing skills, grammar, spelling, and technology. We try group work and hands-on learning and are never hesitant to shake up the norm. They are excitable and deserve a place to showcase all the good things that they do. All toooften, the easier place to focus is the negative and I would like to help them turn that around.
