Comfy Classroom and Decodable Texts!
Funded Sep 4, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity! The students are loving the carpet and the decodable books, and I am very appreciative for the organizer. The decodable texts have been great, allowing students to enjoy with reading in ways that are approachable, while not treating them in an immature manner. Students have loved reading about the recurring characters and finding out new things about them.
We use the carpet every single day in multiple ways -- as a meeting area, a workspace, and a small group center location. Without the carpet, we would be sitting on bare floor, which would distract us from the necessary learning. The carpet affords us a strong sense of comfort when we gather, making that space a true gathering area where we can be together and work.
When they first saw the carpet, their eyes lit up. They know that not every class in the school has a carpet, which made them feel a sense of togetherness and belonging that they wouldn't have gotten otherwise. I am truly grateful.”

Math Manipulatives for a Strong Math Center
Funded Nov 1, 2022Thank you so much for your kind support for class 215. They have been so helpful for our every day class, as well as helping us specifically in math centers.
Some of the materials are used every single day, like the pencils and dry erase erasers. Our dry erase boards are a very important resource and tool for us, and have a consistent eraser for each student is such a big help.
The pencils get even more consistent use, as you could imagine! It feels sometimes like the students eat them for snack, so having so many is incredibly helpful.
Our center games have been a rousing success. The Blends and Digraphs game is a big hit, as students love combining the dominos in different ways to make different words.
The Power Pen math games are also great, as students love working together to solve the problems.
All your support is so appreciated, and makes our class that much brighter!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Worden
