This classroom project was brought to life by Black History Month Partners and 8 other donors. It's a Kwanzaa Celebration
Funded Dec 23, 2022Thank you so much for all of your contributions to our school. This year we kicked off our first annual Kwanzaa celebration. The students and faculty all participated a month-long celebrations this year. We had guest speakers almost every day. We had an early release day full of activities and live African drumming. Students and faculty were able to participate in a variety of activities, such as learning about the African diaspora through a video in music game. Learning about the history of Mancala and even participating in soul food in African cooking none of this would be possible without you and your contributions to this grant. The local newspaper featured many of our events in the news to discuss the impact that we have made on students.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Callender
