  • Putting Talent Forward

    Funded Apr 19, 2024

I cannot express with words the immense feeling of gratitude that we are feeling as a team. These materials will help us get the vision of our plays and other performing arts projects off of the ground. We are excited to show what we can do and bring to the table. Due to all your unwavering help we have been able to continue an amazing year. These items aren't just used for recreation, they are also used for therapeutic services. I love to use the MEDIA resources to connect with my students. Depending what the topic is I would either use an excerpt from the book and utilize that as a talking point for my upper grades. The materials are a hit with my younger grades who love talking about hard to topics with some distracting assistance. Once again thank you so much for your help”

We are tremendously grateful about all of the donations. These donations have helped us to get student involvement to a high level. We are consistently working with students with literature and games we have been awarded by you, the donors. From the games to the workbooks to the pillows, we have set up an office space that is inviting and fun. Working with our curriculums we have been able to transform the morale of emotional children. Once again We are extremely grateful for all of the participation of the funds that we were able to receive.”

  • Building Social-Emotional Skills for At-Risk Youth

    Funded Nov 23, 2022

This project has had an immense impact on my students. We have been working on team building and emotional regulation skills. With all of the help you provided Me and my team were able to launch our groups without a hitch. Our students are engaged thanks to all of the material you helped provide.

My 8th graders especially have been noting that we got all of the "good stuff" on their last year. Funny as it may be, we opened up a spectrum of learning that can meet different learning styles. From working with visually, auditory, and tactile learners we were able to provide a wealth of knowledge and support to our students with all the material that we got funded.”

  • Therapy Games that Make Feeling FUN!

    Funded Nov 24, 2022

My students have literally been begging me to help organize the new materials. After we opened a few of the boxes, I let them. We then sat on the pillows and created a circle. In our circle we played one of the card games and it created a really calming conversation that the students opened up in. A few of my students actually commented about liking the game and asking why it took me so long to get something so cool. I was elated. Luckily, for me it worked right into my question of the day about coping strategies and they fell right into my plan. We started a new group system that the children want to continue.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Numa
