From the bottom of our hearts we can't say thank you enough! Your kind hearted generosity has sparked a bigger flame than we could have imagined. The kids not only have used the Ipad for group work, gamefication, and research, but it has been used for so much more. We have used it to help keep track of PBIS reward incentives. These are points that students can earn for being Respectful, Responsible, Reflective and Ready. This helps encourage students to self reflect and they can use the points that they earn for special field trips and prizes. With the portability of the IPAD we have been able to engage students to help catch their classmates doing something special. This has increased the number of PBIS points that students have earned, because no one teacher can see it all. We have used it for small group work, gamefication of lessons to increase student interest and participation, and it has really been great at being a portable "translator" for my ELL students. The students' favorite though is time earned. If the students complete their work early they have earned time to play some games on educational sites. Your generosity has helped spark more interest in learning, helped children break language barriers, increased positive behaviors, increased classmate support, increased engagement in small groups, and helped encourage students to do their best while completing their work.
