New Air Purifier for Second Grade!
Funded Aug 24, 2024Thank you so much for being apart of my project in bringing clean air to my forty second graders. This will tremendously cut down on viruses, allergens, and make my classroom even more clean, healthy, and happy! I can’t wait to share this with my students and continue watching them grow this year. Thank you for your contribution.”

Ms. Harbin's Class Rug!
Funded May 24, 2024Thank you so much for supporting my project and helping me get my first classroom rug! I have already cleared a spot for it and I am just so excited to have it as a new staple in my classroom for students to learn on, read on, and grow on.”

Funded Apr 28, 2024This project is my favorite project that I do every year. It is so fun to see the delight in every student's face when they get a bag of learning materials and resources that they get to take home for the summer.
During the summer, an amount of learning is lost and the school year is usually started off by refreshing the material learned in the year prior. With your donation, that information will not be lost during the summer months.
Many of my students don't have access to pencils, notebooks, crayons, at home. When they get this bag of items that they get to keep, my favorite and most common reaction from them is, "This is really mine?"
Thank you so much for helping make this happen.”

Harbin Needs Headphones!
Funded Feb 1, 2023This project was fully funded last school year, and my students are still using these headphones daily, this school year. Headphones are one of the most important items in the classroom that are taken for granted.
We use computers for accelerated reader, reading intervention, math intervention, curriculum, research, state testing, etc, and if a student does not have a headphone, these resources cannot be accessed.
Headphones allow students who are still developing their reading skill to hear the word read to them and are able to practice with confidence, instead of staring at a screen of words and feeling defeated. Your donation has enabled magic through technology to take place last year, this year, and years to come.”

Ms. H`s First Class Library
Funded Nov 28, 2022The excitement and joy on my students' faces when I opened up the huge box of books was a feeling of gratitude that I have never felt to that extent. I do not have kids of my own so I can only imagine it was a feeling that parents on Christmas morning share.
I don't think any of the books have been untouched. My students absolutely love Junie B. Jones and the Magic Treehouse. It was great to open the world of chapter books up to my students. We are currently reading one a month. This month we are reading "Junie. B Jones and the Mushy, Gushy Valentime". They love it so much that my students are taking the rest of the series home and reading them on their own!
During literacy week, I was able to share classics like "The Giving Tree". Being able to share these stories from my childhood brings me right back to when I was their age, listening to these books for the first time.
I would not able to have this opportunity to create a bond with my students through books and empower my students with their own library to access without your support. They now are able to read such a variety of stories among all different levels. Their confidence and passion has soared and now every Friday, we are able to have reading Fridays where everyone is able to pick out a book and a cozy corner in the classroom to read. I will value these books for years to come and so will my students. Thank you so much!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Harbin
