Funded Feb 12, 2025The scanner has been an incredible addition to my classroom, making it much easier to digitize student work for portfolios and IEP documentation. Many of my students have learning disabilities, and having their work in a digital format allows me to track progress more efficiently, share updates with parents and support staff, and provide students with a visual record of their growth.
What excites my students the most about this new tool is how it makes their hard work feel more official and important. When they see their assignments scanned and saved, they take more pride in their efforts, knowing their progress is being documented in a meaningful way. Some students have even started asking to scan their work themselves, taking ownership of their learning in a new way.
One student, in particular, has really embraced this technology. They struggle with handwriting and often feel discouraged when looking at their work on paper. However, seeing their assignments on a screen has given them a new perspective and a boost of confidence. It has also made it easier for them to receive digital feedback, which they find more engaging than traditional paper corrections.
I am incredibly grateful for this scanner and the impact it is having on my students. It's not just about making record-keeping easier—it's about helping students feel seen, valued, and motivated in their learning journey.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Rivera
