I am writing to express my deepest appreciation for the investment you have made in our
students. Your support has helped our students with disabilities and learning and/or
behavior challenges to overcome their obstacles and reach their full potential.
Your investment in our Virtual Reality program has had a profound impact on our students.
The VR headset has helped them to further their academics, interests, and social skills.
Through virtual trips that correlate with curricula, students are able to take virtual trips to landmarks or heritage sites discussed in social studies, and landforms or the Solar System discussed in science. Virtual Reality provides a more meaningful medium to explain content in textbooks, which students with learning differences may not otherwise access independently.
In addition to academics, VR is also used to promote and teach positive and appropriate behaviors by creating custom-made virtual scenarios and games to help students' social skills. Our students learn to identify a conflict, respond, and resolve conflicts in a manner that is appropriate and effective.
Lastly, VR is becoming a realistic career avenue, and I am thrilled to introduce this
technology to my students. The world of virtual reality allows students to experience a
new dimension of innovation, and potential interests for future careers.
Clear conversations
On behalf of my students, I extend an e-thank you to all of our donors. Your investment
has made a significant impact on the lives of our students and we are truly grateful.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Robles-Leon
