• Creating Engaging and Fun Interactive Notebooks

  I am deeply grateful for your generous support of our project on DonorsChoose! Thanks to your contributions, my students are now equipped with the supplies needed to make their interactive notebooks a success. These notebooks have truly transformed the way my students engage with learning Spanish. They use the colorful materials to organize their notes, create graphic organizers, and build foldables that enhance their understanding of the language. One of the most exciting classroom moments was when the students first received the supplies — their eyes lit up with excitement! They were so eager to start organizing their notebooks with the new tools and were thrilled to use their notebooks as both a learning tool and a creative outlet.

  With your help, we're now able to take our lessons to the next level. The interactive notebooks not only help my students develop their Spanish reading and writing skills but also teach them the vital skill of note-taking, which will benefit them in all their future studies. As we continue our current project, my students are working on a bilingual story writing activity where they will incorporate foldables and graphic organizers into their stories. This hands-on approach is giving them the chance to practice their note-taking while building their confidence in both languages. Your support has had an immediate and positive impact, and we're excited to continue learning and growing with these valuable resources. Thank you again for making a difference in our classroom!”

• Bringing Spanish Alive

  I am extremely grateful for your wonderful donation to my project. The $100 gift card allowed me to purchase materials from the Teachers Pay Teachers website to foster my student's writing skills and enhance the classroom environment.

  Because of your generous donation, I was able to purchase Spanish products. For example, in the module about "Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month", I bought posters about famous Spanish writers with positive affirmations, which I used to create a positive classroom environment and inspire my students to not give up. Also, I was able to purchase materials to create posters that foster and improve their reading and writing skills. One poster is about transition words and the other is a close reading poster which encouraged them to use symbols and annotate on their text as they read. Lastly, I have purchased many graphic organizers that the students use in their interactive notebooks to improve note-taking skills.

• Inspiring Bilingual Readers All Year Long: Books!

• Making Spanish Fun!

  I am so thankful for your donation to my project. My students were able to create

  lapbooks about a Spanish-speaking country. They used glue sticks and cardstock paper to make wonderful lapbooks that showcase their creativity and understanding of interesting facts they learned and researched about a Spanish-speaking country.

  With your help, my students also created pop-up books about their reading analysis of the book "Querido hijo: estás despedido" by Jordi Sierra I Fabra and used the TREES writing strategy to write a paragraph about their book analysis. Lastly, I use the timer every day to manage the time students have to complete different tasks. My students and I love how big the numbers are on the digital timer which can be seen

  anywhere in my classroom. I am truly grateful for your help and thank you again for your kindness.”

• Inspiring Bilingual Readers all Year Long

  I am extremely thankful for your donation. I was able to incorporate the laminator and the ink for the printer in gallery walks in which students analyzed images or texts in Spanish and were actively engaged in the various reading activities. With your help, I was able to label and laminate my classroom library to organize different genres, which helped my students select different independent books.

  I was able to create labels for Spanish-speaking authors in my classroom library which made my students feel proud to find books written by authors from their culture. This contributed to a nurturing reading environment in the classroom. Again, from the bottom of my heart thank you for your kindness.”

  Because of your generous donation, I was able to purchase Spanish products. For example, the brochure "Mi cultura hispana" in which they explain their cultural heritage has been a great addition to my teaching resources. I also purchased print-rich materials for my classroom to display artifacts such as vocabulary words, flags of Spanish-speaking countries, and labels for the Spanish books in our classroom.

• Celebrating Hispanic Heritage All Year Long

  I am extremely grateful to Smarties Candy Company and other donors for your wonderful gift of the Epson printer and ink toners. The printer has allowed my students to showcase and celebrate their culture and heritage.

  For example, they created a lap book and were able to print rich materials about a Spanish-speaking country. They were very excited to collaborate with their peers on this project. They also included many visuals in their lap book and the printer was extremely useful in their creativity.

  The students also created a poem about their heritage and were able to include images they printed. The poems were later displayed in the classroom. Lastly, the printer helps me decorate my classroom to display artifacts such as vocabulary words, flags of Spanish-speaking countries, and labels for Spanish books in the classroom.
