Speech and Language Fun!

When my students first saw the materials, they were extremely excited to help me open and utilize them. When walking into my room, the calendar is one of the first things that they see. They always ask questions about upcoming holidays/days off and ask if they can change the date for me. Learning about the days of the weeks and months of the year are extremely important. Concepts like 'today,' 'yesterday,' 'next week,' 'two weeks ago,' etc have been targeted while talking about the calendar. My students have also been more aware and interested to know when their birthdays are.

My students have also been loving the story book puppets. They love holding the puppets during a read aloud and answering questions with them. They have been using them to sequence the events in the stories as well. They help to make the story more interactive and they all really enjoy using them!

The teachers pay teachers gift card has allowed me to purchase more resources that are relevant and specific to my students goals. My project has contributed to the growth of my students success by providing me with new, exciting, and language rich resources. We are so grateful!”
