Class Set of "The Outsiders" Novel

Our new novels have arrived this morning and they are beautiful! After our PSSA testing is over for ELA this week, we will begin our new unit as a class. I have had many past students return to tell me how much they loved "The Outsiders" and enjoyed reading it, so I am looking forward to bringing this great story to life once again this year!

"The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton is a classic for a reason; the conflicts and themes within the book resonate so deeply with teens and adults alike. It is a book that gets even the most reluctant of readers involved and participating because the topics of the book are so compelling and worthy of discussion. As these 7th grade students grow fully into young adulthood and develop their own, strong opinions during this critical time period of their lives - this is always a novel that I want them to be exposed to and consider.
