  • We Need Paper

    Funded Feb 18, 2025

Thank you for the support, this project will enable my team and I do make in the moment modifications to our lessons. We will be able to print data, homework, and classwork. Without programs and donors like Donor Choose, we would have little to offer our students. Thank you , always.”

  • Notebooks, Incentives and More

    Funded Aug 16, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity, all students deserve a little incentive that rewards their tremendous effort. This incentive system has positively influenced my classroom environment, students want to earn stars and complete classwork which creates a sense of urgency in the classroom.

Students enjoyed the sensory trinkets and enjoyed the silly sharpeners. All the stickers helped students focus on their behavioral and academic goal.

Thank you again for all your support, this project would not have come to fruition if it wasn't for donors like you.”

  • Graphic Novel Mentor Text

    Funded Jul 19, 2024

Thank you for believing in this concept and project, with your support we were able to start Unit 2 "Change Agents" by reading They Called us the Enemy.

This is a powerful graphic novel that describes the of George Takei. Thank you so much for gifting us the novel that not only tells a beautiful story of resilience but also has captivating images of what life was like for Japanese Americans during this difficult time period.

My students and I are eternally grateful for this gesture of kindness.”

  • Book Bonanza: Unleash Your Inner Bibliophile"

    Funded Apr 3, 2024

Thank you so much for your help in creating a Spanish/English library for my students. I believe that students learning English as a second language can use the skills and language from their first language to support their new language acquisition. With this in mind, students must have access to rich and diverse texts in their home language. My ELL students loved reading "Los Tipos Malos" because they were then able to watch the movie at home. With your help, we are able to provide a diverse collection of books that celebrates both the Spanish language and culture. Your commitment to literacy and education empowers young minds and enriches our community.”

  • Making Our Writing Visible

    Funded Dec 5, 2023

Due to your generosity we were able to establish the love of writing and reading in the classroom. We created mini-literary dictionaries that students were able to create and adapt to their literacy repertoire.

A huge part of understanding Literature is understanding the figurative language and of course, idioms. While idiots are fun and used colloquially they are also specific to cultures and settings.

Students also engaged in various gallery walks to gain deeper understanding of concepts in ELA.”

  • Post-Its for Learning

    Funded Nov 29, 2023

Thank you once again for allowing us to have the requested materials. The students enjoyed using the post-its in our second unit to write their gists of the reading "Brown Girl Dreaming."

During our gallery walks, an instructional practice in which students rotate to different chart papers with writing and images based on the unit, students were able to explore different perspectives on the topic. With this kinesthetic activity students were able to remember the activity and read other students' response.

Thank you for your support !”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bazan

  • Reading Experts

    Funded Oct 26, 2023

We are beyond grateful for the gift you have provided us. The leveled reading collection supported students from diverse reading backgrounds. Since we were able to have different reading genres, students were able to enjoy independent reading time.

Students gravitated towards the informational non-fiction magazines, they loved the images and amazing facts about animals. Other students were able to read books such as "Number the Stars" and "James and the Giant Peach" these fascinating novels have withstood the test of time.

We are honored to have such diverse readings. Thank you so much for your continuous support.”

    With gratitude,
