A Place Where Minds Can Meet
Funded Sep 21, 2023My future scientists and I want to reach out to let you know just how much we appreciate your kindness and generosity in funding "A Place Where Minds Can Meet." Our meeting area is so warm and inviting. It is now a cozy place where my students meet me to learn about a new science concept. It is here where we explore new ideas and put our minds together to help solve real-world problems. We are currently figuring out why a particular tree is no longer growing in India and are learning about how floating trains work. This rug is providing a place where really great conversations are taking place.
My students also enjoy using the large space to construct structures using straw connectors and magna-tiles. Our science classroom is now complete and we owe that to you. You are empowering a new generation scientists to share ideas, work collaboratively, and envision bright futures in STEAM.”

Funded Sep 25, 2022We just wanted to reach out to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation for your kindness. Thank you so much for funding our STEM-sational science lab. The children are actively using what they have learned about magnetic force and gravity to build amazing structures. Some of our structures start out small, and then they grow into something we can all stand in and behind!
The kids react with pure joy as they find ways to plan and build structures collaboratively. They are truly learning to solve problems by applying what they have learned about forces to build together. They also learn how to work together, respectfully disagree, and then compromise when creating something new.
As of now, the children have been able to plan and build structures of their choice. In the coming weeks, they will be learning about how engineers design and build bridges that can withstand major forces like earthquakes. The students are then going to be challenged to engineer bridges of their own!
