  • Scholastic Magazine

    I cannot thank you enough for your generosity in donating to our classroom. The students really love to read, but finding something they enjoy to read and that they can form real connections too is difficult! That is where purchasing the Scholastic News came into play.

    Scholastic offers weekly magazines that cover kid friendly topical issues, as well as cross curriculum content. They help to introduce the students to new ideas, peoples, and places! The ever changing content keeps the students engaged, and inspires them to learn. Scholastic also offers videos, projects, and other academic content that helps reinforce the topics covered.

    Overall, these have truly hlped improve the students phonics, encodnin, and vocabulary. It also has been used to generate interesting discussion in my class, and across our grade. The focus on science and social studies has been wonderful for my classroom. The whole grade is benefitting from your generosity.

  • Comfortable Time

    My class has been so thrilled with the new flexible. Seating options! They work so hard to get those spots as their incentive. We use them every day during our reading groups. Some of the students who were not using the wrong spot or not using it because of the new seats which is amazing.

    We also made great use of the Lucy clocks. Time is the third grade standard, and we worked really hard with those in group and has a whole class. I know next year I will be using them even earlier to expose students to time.

    As we review for our yearly testing, we are breaking the clocks back out and are even going to use some on the rug with our new seats. I can't thank you enough for the donations you have made to our classroom.”
