• Social Emotional Learning for English Learners

  Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom. My students and I are so appreciative of your generosity. My students have been very excited about the additions to our classroom from this project. Many of my students use the fidgets to stay calm and focused during class. We also regularly use the conversation cards and cubes, and my students enjoy practicing their English in a fun and engaging way.

  I plan to use the SEL book in the future to plan new lessons related to SEL. I also want to go in depth with the information that is currently listed on the SEL posters. My goal is to ensure that my students feel comfortable expressing their emotions and that they are able to calm themselves down in appropriate ways when necessary. Your donation has greatly helped me begin to accomplish these goals. THANK YOU again!”

• Engaging Books for English Learners

  Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. My students and I are so appreciative of your generosity. Thanks to your donation, I have been able to better support and engage my students in the classroom.

  My students were so excited when we received these new books! The books included in this project greatly help my students to develop their English vocabulary in an interesting and visual format.

  I have already been able to use many of these books to teach my students specific skills. For example, we used the National Geographic books to learn about a specific animal and use the information to write a paragraph. I am excited to create more lessons around these books.

• Sanitizer, Snacks, and Stickers for Students

  Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. My students and I are so appreciative of your generosity. Thanks to your donation, I have been able to better support and take care of my students.

  I have been able to provide my students with snacks if they have forgotten to eat breakfast or need an extra burst of energy. We also recently had state testing, and I was able to give my students snacks to keep them motivated and energized to complete their tests.

  The stickers are also a big hit in my classes! We use them to track our reading progress, and students are able to put up a sticker when they have finished reading a book. It is a small thing, but my students get so excited to put a sticker up by their name to show their progress.

• Classroom Organization Help

  The donations I received for this project were so helpful to my everyday life as a teacher. I was able to use what I received to organize papers that I receive from students to help me stay on top of what they have done. I was also able to give my students new resources to make their learning more fun and engaging.

  My students were so excited when they saw the new materials that were added to our classroom. We were able to use them to make our lessons more interactive. Further, we now have a more organized system for how students turn in their assignments. They are thankful for the organization. Thank you again for your generous donations to my classroom. • Books That Students Will Want to Read

  I want to express my sincere gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. As my students are all high school English learners, it can be very difficult for my students to find reading materials that are both interesting and age appropriate. The books that I received through this donation were both engaging and interesting for high school aged students.

  My students were so excited to see new books in our library! Since receiving these new books, I have had seen many students who are excited about reading! I have had multiple students read the Selena Quintanilla book, and I have had students read Magic Tree House, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Goosebumps books. It is so nice to be able to provide my students with options that are relevant and interesting to them.

  In the future, I am planning to have my students complete a biography project. They will select one book about a famous person and learn all about them. Then, they will write about what the learned and create a presentation to share with the class. I now have many accessible biographical books that they can choose from.
