  • Art and Sensory Center

    Funded May 8, 2024

    Our Art and Sensory Station is a success thanks to your generosity. My students are playing cooperatively in small groups while working on fine motor skills and emotional regulation strategies. I am pleased to tell you that we are using our kinetic sand daily, as well as our art trays, which allow us to have sensory activities and visual structure for students to keep their personal space organized. The play dough mats are very popular and our Posca markers make our art projects fun!

    We are currently working on our Hispanic Heritage Projects and used our Posca markers for our student portraits. We are using the kinetic and therapy sand for our students that require sensory regulation. The students love all of the materials and I heard the "Wows" and "Awws", which means so much in our pre verbal class.

    We will be using our Art and Sensory Station in our upcoming Tree Study and science projects. I can't wait to keep art and sensory regulation going as the year progresses.”

  • Sensory Supports for Learning

    Funded Sep 9, 2024

    I am very excited to transform my classroom into a sensory friendly environment with beautiful donations that match our classroom's Ocean Theme. Our students will be able to use the swivel chairs and peanut bounce balls to regulate and "bounce" back to focus on their daily educational goals and skills. Our students will benefit from the added environmental supports in structure that these donations will provide, such as having visual floor stickers to know where to line up. I will be able to see a difference in their positive behavior supports with your wonderful donations and we will be forever grateful!”
