Thank you so much for your support and donations to help my students and our classroom. We are so excited to receive these supplies and add them to our classroom essentials. We are very grateful to have you and Donor's choose supporting our education wants and needs! Thanks again!”

  • Continuing a Love for Reading

    Funded May 15, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and contributing to our classroom library. Because of this donation the entire 6th grade was able to continue reading the next book in these series. Having books of high interest that are relatable and desirable for our students is so important, especially for our struggling readers. Not only has this been a great addition for the 2023-2024 6th grade class, but our future 6th grade class will now have this second book in the series to continue reading!”

    With gratitude,

  • SEL & Community Building

    Funded Nov 29, 2023

Thank you for your generous donation and for giving my students the opportunities to express themselves creatively in my classroom. Creating key chains with shrinky dink paper or mini sculptures with model magic help give students a chance to bond with each other and create positive memories at school, that they will take with them. With new art supplies, students are able to feel like they are set up for success to create and express their ideas in new, fun, and exciting ways.

Our classroom has also been able to restock on necessary supplies to ensure our desks are clean and free of germs.”

  • New Books!

    Funded Nov 18, 2023

Thank you so much for your donation and providing me with the opportunity to introduce new books to the classroom. Students were so excited to have new options of books to read in their book clubs. Their love of learning is being nurtured, but this in part would not have been possible without your generous donation. Students are able to read in book club circles and discuss common themes throughout the book. They respond to discussion questions and reflect on what they read in their journal. This often relates to their own life and situations they are experiencing (at home & at school).”

  • Snacks & Other Essentials

    Funded Oct 27, 2022

Thank you so much for your kind and generous donation. My students have been able to have a classroom with numerous resources. My classroom has become a place that previous and current students can come to when they are in need of anything. I've only been able to make this possible with donors who have helped fund my projects.

Students feel my classroom is like a second home, where they have the things they need to be successful at school and feel good about themselves. Having a home base filled with snacks, when they forget lunch, or books that represent their identities helps create a safe and welcoming classroom community.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Santoro

  • Classroom Library Books

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

These graphic novels have helped hook students into reading. They have eye catching graphics and give students access to books to develop their love of reading. Students have flown through the babysitter series and the Naruto series. These books have given a sense of confidence to students who struggle reading novels. Their ability to finish these graphic novels has given them a sense of accomplishment and has sparked joy. They have even requested I get them more. Students from other classes have often asked to borrow these graphic novels so they can read them as well. Students enjoy reading these books in the classroom library on the rugs.”

  • Reading Buddies

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. These books have helped add missing perspectives to our classroom library. These books also promote activism and critical thinking, which is so important to have students participate in discussions about our society and the people in it. Students enjoy reading these books and exploring these concepts in our civics class, as well as personal independent reading time. Our 6th graders have enjoyed reading to our kindergarten buddy class and sharing these new books with them as well.”

  • Library Books

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

My students are so excited to have unboxed these books that offer new perspectives and represent the identities in my classroom. We have used these books when discussing Latinx/Hispanic heritage month. These books were also utilized during our DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time. We took many of these books to our buddy classroom (a kindergarten class) in our school. During this time, my 6th grade students read these books to the kindergarten class. They loved being able to choose from these new set of books.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Santoro
